Who We Are

Lifes Little Treasures is a charity run by volunteer parents who themselves have had a premature baby. We provide support and assistance to other families of premature babies throughout Victoria, either in hospital, neonatal intensive care units, special care nurseries or in the community when families get home.. We are a founding member of the National Premmie Foundation.

Vision Statement

To improve the quality of life for these babies and their families by providing support, encouragement and friendship from parents who have been through similar experiences.

Aims

• To introduce programs, which provide practical and emotional support to families who have babies that have spent time in intensive/special care nurseries.
• To provide easily accessible and relevant information for families
• To offer continued assistance to families to ease the transition from hospital to the home environment
• To increase community awareness of the unique issues faced by families of these special babies.

What can we provide?

• morning teas / playgroups at various venues including hospitals and community settings.
• quarterly newsletter and website to provide parents with updated and relevant information on premature baby issues
• parent Information guide and parent packs providing relevant tips and information specific to families
