In April 2007, Lifes Little Treasures was given the opportunity to get together with three other premature baby support groups in Australia (PIPA, LMK and NNICUPS) to launch the first ever National Premmie Day in Australia on June 12 2007.

Through organizing this event, we met some similar minded, amazingly inspiring women who were passionate about helping families who had to go through the roller coaster ride of having a baby in NICU/SCU. As a result of this, we decided to put our resources together to help provide support and encouragement to families throughout Australia. It was about time that Australia caught up with the rest of the world and provided a national voice for these fragile young miracles!

Two new support groups – Little Wonders and CCPSNS decided to join the four existing groups to form the National Premmie Foundation (NPF). One of the objectives of the NPF will be to unify and act as a guiding body for, existing premature baby support groups and help to create new ones. We are a founding member of the National Premmie Foundation.
