Shusannah Morris

On the 15th of March 2020 the much loved CEO of the Life’s Little Treasures Foundation lost her hard fought battle with cancer.

Let’s walk together in support of premature and sick babies.

48,000 premature or sick babies are born in Australia each year! With your help the Life’s Little Treasures Foundation can support these families along their journey. This year, on Sunday 25th October, families across Australia will walk together to celebrate our little treasures, remember little angels and raise funds to provide vital services for families in need of support in hospitals across the country.

At the beginning of each Walk for Prems event, participants pause to show their respect for the families whose babies have sadly passed away. Life’s Little Treasures Foundation honours their babies’ memory with the ceremonial release of white doves by one of these families.

Walk for Prems 2020 is proudly presented by Baby Bunting and is the largest annual fundraiser by Life’s Little Treasures Foundation, Australia’s foremost charity dedicated to supporting the families of babies born sick or prior to 37 weeks gestation. It’s the ultimate example of families helping families.

In its 11th year, the Walk will take place simultaneously across 11 locations – Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Hobart, Canberra and Perth – as well as regional locations such as Cairns, Townsville, Ballarat & Gippsland.

This community event has raised over 2.2 million dollars and this year, the Life’s Little Treasures Foundation hopes to raise $350,000.

We understand that it is not possible for everyone to attend Walk for Prems 2020. Those who live far away or whose baby is still in hospital are still able to take part in Walk by registering as a Virtual Walk for Prems Team member.

The support we received from life’s little treasures during our hospital stay was amazing, the app was a godsend, with this new foreign language in an easy to read form with meanings, section for notes, updates on weight feeding etc, I will never be able to thank life’s little treasures enough for their support

Amanda, mum

I wanted to pass on my congratulations on the special care nursery booklet. It’s fantastic and I have given out my first copy this evening to a young couple who have a premmie 3 days of age. It looks wonderful!!

I’m so glad to have known the Life’s Little Treasures Foundation from the beginning and seen how you translated a very mixed (some would say awful) personal experience to a positive way of helping others in your position. You’ve made a huge difference to so many parents facing their worst nightmare
